Frederic: Evil Strikes Back

Frederic: Evil Strikes Back

What is the title of the original Chopin songs?
In the first game, at the beggining of every duel the title of the original song appears, so it was interesting search them in YouTube and compare the original with the version of the game. Here is an example:

But in this second game, this title don't appears, as you can see here:

I want to know the titles of the original songs to compare them. :)

Also, thanks for the makers of this game, I was amazed with the demos and I decided to buy them, and thanks for adding for free the OST, they are amazing. Michal Wasilewski made a great job, he is now in my list of favorite musicians. :)

I'd like to know this myself. I know Chopin isn't the best namer in general (Nocturne Op. 9 Nr. 2 Es-Dur), but it'd be nice to look them up for comparison.

I'm also really interested in this because it looks like there's no source anywhere on the internet about which song is what original Chopin composition...

There are some really catchy tunes in the sequel and I'd love to hear the originals.

The first one was Chopin tunes set in genre pieces... this one seems to be just songs written in the style of various groups, ie queen, king crimson etc.

Pretty sure "Queen" was Radio Gaga, and "MJ" was Smooth Criminal. Dissapointed by Stockholm level(

It's very likely this will be up to the players themselves to figure-out which song is the "parody" of an existing popular-song.
This is to consider how eager most of the "record-holders" are to send lawyers and such around even into and due most obscure situations
(if Conan O'Brien and various other shows are to be believed when it comes to music in general, that is
(and of course Youtube and such places nowadays )).

"From Past to Past" is one the songs I've heard numerous times when I was much younger, but I can't remember even s single word of the lyric to start searching for it...

Well, places like "Midomi" and "Soundhound" might help with the list making too; at least one of the places offering this service helped me finding "I Want to know what love is" by Foreigner.

All of these songs are written by Michał Wasilewski, and some of them are meant to be parodies of existing work. He does amazing work in my opinion and after playing through that last match on Chopin I fell in love with this game, just fend your way through the terrible Hiss stage. That seventeen note section in 1.5 seconds is brutal. :evildisappointed:

Some parts of the songs are parodies, but certain melodies in the songs clearly seem classical, and it WOULD be great to know which of Frederic's songs were used in which places. There should be a guide! Do we have any Chopin experts in the crowd? Maybe I'll just listen to his entire library and see if I can pick out tunes... Or maybe we can crowdsource it? ;)

I was disappointed too, but I guess they are originals...I have the switch version though, and they don't even do the matchup screen that tells you the name of the characters. I figured most out but had no idea until now the freddy mercury character was named Freddy Mercurio
