I will forever be mad at Disney for under-advertising this game and shutting down Black Rock Studio. Split Second is one of my favorite racing games ever, it was so easy to pick up and play and have a great time. Pure was fantastic as well, hope to see it on Steam one day, doubt it'll happen.

But yeah, this is silly fun. Pick it up on sale though, the $20 is a little steep for a 10+ year old game with no online multiplayer anymore. Has split screen though, if you're into that kind of thing.

The game is good, i remember playing it on ps3, good old times. Too bad its locked at 30fps.

Played it on the steam deck, its almost like the game was made to be played on that platform. The 30fps lock doesnt look that bad on the Deck.
Its a "must" if you own a steam deck

1) Disable Steam Direct Input: Right click on the game > Properties > Controller Options (Button prompts will remain for the keyboard, but controller will be fully functional)

2) Download and extract into game's directory SecuROM DRM remover:

(Without this, the next step will not work, since DRM protection prevents the injectors from working)

3) To fix stutters/slowdowns and vastly improve performance download DXVK.tar.gz
https://github.com/doitsujin/dxvk/releases
extract it and copy d3d9.dll from the x32 folder into game's directory.

Tested on: OnexPlayer Mini Pro 6800U

Disney doesn't care about anything that brings in just under a billion. Grееdу sсum who are only interested in money. It's not worth spending a single cent on their games, none of it will go to the project's creators from Black Rock. The studio is closed. It's a shame, those people had a talent for making racing games. I wish Disney to burn in hеll. That's it.
