Most raids kill my PC
Do raid sizes scale to colony size? I have around 20 colonists..When I get raided it's around 30-40 enemy pawns that end up bottle-necking through my defenses which causes massive FPS drop to the single digits...Anybody know of a way to mitigate this problem?

If i am not mistaken raid size depends on colony wealth. Normally 30-40 enemies shouldnt drop FPS to one digit, even on average PC. Maybe you use mods that bring additional lag?

Yeah I have 114 mods, but it's difficult to tell which one is causing the lag if that's what's going on here. Thanks for your input.

If it's only happening when you are raid, the most likely culprits would be mods that are specific to combat or pawn AI (specifically AI related to movement or combat).

I play with a modpack with a lot of stuff and only have issues on very late game in a 400x400 map with around 40 colonists, more than 100 animals and during very big raids (more than 100 raiders). When the lag get really serious I open the dev console and check the error messages, my lag is mostly related with pathing issues for units.

Consider checking your mods.

Basically its Wealth + # of Pawns

While it's almost certain that the solution here is fewer mods, not additional mods, is Rocketman part of your modlist?

Do you have an abundance of units which are all having to do pathfinding calculations? (In my last run, I had to entirely abandon a base because insectoids kept spawning hives - and with 170 insectoids on the evacuated outpost, the game chugged HARD until I dropped back down to 1 base and the game only had to deal with 3 pawns and a small handful of wildlife.)

Raids use points, so if you have mods that increase how much stuff raiders spawn with (ie Medieval Times that adds new equip-able gear) then you'll have a bad time even with raids that contain less enemies.
