Meditation Spot useless ?

I have a psy pawn with dignified and artistic meditation foci, I don't have a throne but I have a nook in my recroom thats surrounded by 9 good or excellent art objects with the green meditation spot smack dab in the middle assigned to him.

But instead of meditating there, he choose to meditate in the hospital with a single normal statue.

Why ? How do I force him to use the meditation spot assigned to him ?

It's because the pawn has an artistic meditation focus. Even if they have a designated spot for meditation, they'd prefer the ones where they have better focus on. You'd best move the statue or have an art object that's similar to the statue (another statue) and they'd go for that.

The green meditation spot is like a last resort for them from what I've observed from pawn behavior on my playthrough.

My dude, the middle of the recroom-statues is a masterwork grade !
Theres no better foci other than masterwork art surrounded by 8 other artworks, compared to other meditation places I have, this is the best.

Should I just put a throne in place of the meditation circle ?
Do pawns meditations stack up with different focis ? Or do they atleast choose which of their surroundings gives the best focus ?

There is an "assign meditation spot" gizmo on meditation spots. If you assigned your meditation spot to someone else, they won't use that one. Meditation spots can also be used by non-psycaster pawns for simple solitary relaxation (if they're not the "pray" type.) If they have dignified, they're probably also looking for a throne to sit on, and it's possible that they are having some sort of bad default behavior after failing, I haven't tried it with a dignified focus pawn not having a throneroom before.

Yep, hes already assigned to that specific spot where it reaches all the statues.

But sometimes he meditates some blocks away from it which only 'reach' one or two statues, its as if he don't want to miss a soap opera episode or something because I put a TV next to the meditations corner dahahah.

Some other times he meditates in the hospital or in his own room.
