This one is my favorite industrial feeling mod, personally.

Vanilla Trading Expanded gives you contracts for extremely large quantities of items that people want to buy, giving you a reason to automate everything so you can produce those large orders. The orders have time limits, and can be taken by others if you're not quick enough.
edit: also, due to the insane amount of stock you'll likely end up hoarding so you can fulfil orders, your colony wealth will skyrocket and you'll likely die to ridiculous raids. Highly recommend you install either Compressed Raiders or Combat Readiness Check in order to have some control over how crazy the raids can get.
Oh, and there's also the RimFactory Materials mod that adds in a bunch of extra materials that mean production chains are actually more useful since you'll need titanium, crystal, glass, and other materials to build your base, craft weapons, and so on.
And if it's updated (I don't remember now, but I think it might be), you could also add RimFactory Insanity, which adds a bunch of absolutely ridiculous late-game ultra tech factory buildings that let you break the laws of physics. Probably not recommended, but it's up to you :)
