Resource usage priority?
I'm growing psychoid and what I would like to happen is that the leaves are used for tea until I have x number, and then the rest gets used for Yayo and Flake, but because tea is brewed on the stove and Yayo and Flake are made in the drug table, there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.
Am I missing something? I know you can set the bills to get things from specific stockpiles, but I don't think that'll help any (I'd just end up with a stack of stuff that wouldn't be used much, or production would be paused until that stack had filled up).

Make a bill at the stove that says "Do until X".
Make a bill at the Drug lab that says "Do forever".

Does this cause you any issues?

yeh, sometimes they'll prefer to make Yayo and Flake out of everything and leave nothing for tea (I kind of thought it'd maybe help that the stove is much closer to the psychoid storage than the drug table, but that doesn't seem to make any difference).

Personally, I have mine set up a bit differently. I use a couple mods that alter the bills at the workbenches.

I have one bill at the Drug bench that says Make Flake in batches of 100 until you have 1000 Psychite leaves left over, and then stop. This way there will always be Psychite leaves left over for making tea if I need it.

Then I have a bill at the Stove that says to make Psychite tea in batches of 100 until there is 10 tea per person and then pause until there is only 5 tea per person. I have my pawns carry 2 tea with them, so I have the box checked to count equipped.

Another way to do it without mods is with 2 stockpiles with different priorities, and put a radius restriction on the Flake bill.

For example, you can make a stockpile for Psychite leaves beside the stove (away from the drug lab) with a high priority, and then make a low priority stockpile of leaves beside the drug lab and put a radius restriction on the Flake bill so that it can only take leaves from the low priority stockpile.

Psychite leaves go bad eventually, so if this is an issue for you, you can use a fridge mod or a mod that always uses the oldest material first and saves the fresh stuff for last.

hmm. That "with Surplus" option in the screenshot does seem very useful.

I'd like to avoid more mods, so I made a stockpile for psychoid leaves, but it shows as 'incompatible' in the stockpile selection for the psychite tea bill, which is weird.
The only stockpile I can choose is my main one, where I've disallowed psychoid leaves... so that doesn't make much sense.
And they have no problems taking the leaves from my food stockpile or shelves either, so I don't know why I can't select those (well, shelves don't seem to be a thing, but the stockpile shouldn't show as incompatible).
I guess that's not an option.

This is probably also more of a problem because I'm only growing a small amount. Main priority is just tea for my colonists, but I do end up with too many leaves, so it'd just be nice if I could use those for Yayo as a second priority.

The stockpile selection in the tea bill is saying where to take the tea to, not where to get the leaves from, that is why it is incompatible since the stockpile is for leaves, not tea.

If you could tell the bill where to take leaves from, you would not need to use a radius restriction on the flake bill to control where it takes the leaves from.

Actually, I think "Look Everywhere" is just which stockpiles to count for "Make X of thing".
hm. That's a shame.

"Take to best stockpile" is the one for where to place it.

So it looks like the radius is it the only vanilla option (well, and a not very vanilla fridge, probably, because otherwise it'll get really difficult).

I think it works. Thanks.
