If you install that mod, make sure to check out the patch mod that prevents walls from being minified. I didn't see that extra mod and raiders stole my walls, burnt my fields, and kidnapped one of my colonists.

Stealing walls is honestly hilarious.

Once ...

After that it just becomes annoying

Is that an interaction with a mod that makes raiders smarter?
I'm just curious because i've used minifyeverything since forever and never had that happen.

I was wondering the same thing.

That never occurred to me. It could have been an AI mod.

Not "smarter" no. It happens when you use minify everything with the Vanilla Expanded Vikings mod, one of the raid types attempts to steal anything that can be uninstalled regardless of value. They will swoop in and remove large sections of wall from your base if you have a minify mod and no exception for walls. As The Blind One said, it's pretty funny, the first time.

You can choose to have things not minify already. Do they not respect the mod's own settings or something?

I think the gist is that you leave the "minify everything" settings alone so that you CAN minify a wall if you want. But IF you don't change that setting then you are going to need that patch mod if you are running the Vanilla Enhanced Vikings mod to stop them from minifying your walls.

I'm pretty sure it's from Vanilla Ideology Expanded: Memes and Structures (don't think it's from Ideology itself? May have to check), but there is a precept for increased deconstruction yield. Gives back up to 100% of the materials from deconstruction instead of 50% (doesn't apply to removing floors though for some reason). It isn't the same as picking up a solar panel and running off with it, but it gives all the materials back to rebuild it elsewhere. Taking advantage of it honestly feels pretty close to cheating though. You'd think there'd be a slower deconstruction time due to the care involved or something.
