Once you have the crematorium you can burn clothes in that as well.
Burning them with molotov cocktails? Letting them decay? What an incredibly dangerous/inefficient way of doing things.
Bit of an eyesore though.
It also has the benefit of you being able to put "Do until you have X" on the tailoring bench for t-shirts and pants so that you always have spare clothes at 100% quality.
How much of a problem this is, I don't know, but I know it was a huge problem in Dwarf Fortress.
Also, in case you haven't done so already, you should set the "uniform" your people wear to only be 51%+. At 50% and lower, they get a negative moodlet. Burning the old clothes and having bills for all the necessary clothing items to be crafted up to a certain amount really helps keep people somewhat happy.
I almost never pick decent clothes off of the dead. Is it a result of combat or are they just bringing in crap?
