any way to remove traits while playing? - namely pyromaniac
I don't care if its mods, or commands or dev mode. How the hell do I stop this dude setting fires.

Cheers.

https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1084452457 can edit traits, you can set pyromaniac commonality to 0 with it

Character Editor lets you edit pretty much anything about a pawn. I use it to give them better haircuts and change the color of their outfits. I guess that tells you what kind of player I am...

I've heard stories, ofc, but I've never had a problem with a pyro other than occasionally some aggravating micro. What's the problem?

If you're looking for a non-explicitly cheating mod to remove pyro from a pawn, try this. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2044003955

With RIMMSqol, you can also use the "personal growth points" feature, where they accumulate points over time which you can spend (per pawn) to adjust their traits etc.

So even without being like 'no pyros ever thx', you can still have your fire-loving pawn change their mind after a long enough time.

Alternately, a mod like this (which seems to have been updated to 1.2 even if the pic hasn't) might be an alternative too if you'd like pyros to be slightly less flamey: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2025857053

yes character editor would be the quick and dirty way to change the pyromaniac.

in addition to that i throw in an instory option:

this mod features items that can save and add traits. there you can save a trait up to 3 times (overwriting the previous stored trait) or use its charge to attach the stored trait to a target.

If you're playing with the Pyschology mod, it makes Pyromania treatable as a medical operation.

i think the vanilla traits expanded mod allows you to disable any trait modded or not

I love the fact they tried to make pyro good but ended up with like... not... I guess deserts are slightly less terrible for them.

Yeah. Trying to make a pyromaniac NOT burn stuff, without also making them not a pyromaniac... it's not a simple balance.

In any case, iirc, the base game does a nice job of it with the weapons - even if it's not highlighted. Equip your pyro with a fire-based weapon (Molotovs, Incendiary Launcher, Plasma Sword), and they'll get a mood boost for it. :gc_like:

Personally I don't worry too much about pyros, so long as they're in the minority at my base - but it sounded like OP wants them gone anyway.
