I for one think that is a fantastic way to end a colony and I applaud you even if it wasn't your intent to game over yourself.

Getting into those caskets sounds like a real rimworld scenario where colonist have to abandon their home and go into hiding. Er well sleep.
Raiders killed several guests and a guest killed a raider :)
Wow...mind somewhat blown...after several more days, guest came (my guest mod), I had the crypto sleepers marked to be opened. The guests (3) stayed for 2 days and went all over the base despite all the damage and destruction, played chess, used my royal harp, and to my pure amazement, suddenly a guest opens Oro's crypto :D The story continues ...
Kinda strange, not only did a guest from my hospitality mod open the crypto...they do research for you? Are they suppose to or is that a bug?
Anyways, its been crazy. One of the three crypto pawns was Blitz. He was originally a prisoner I converted before recruiting him, who was the only survivor of a raid. I used the man in black to recruit him, but he wanted the MiB clothes (greedy trait?) and I had him kill the MiB in his sleep. Blitz wore his tainted clothes for months and I used Blitz to get Oro and Umeko on board. Oro became our royal Dame and Blitz, the original prisoner who made sure my colony didn't die, is now my head researcher.
Rimworld best game ever
Interesting story over all though, surprised this all happened. I do wonder though if you'll be able to trigger a second game over screen however.

I have to be more careful now :)
Makes you think about all those cryocaskets you open and their chronological age is like 950... such may be their fate but as with your colony they will no be resuming the old one, but joining (or being eaten by) the new one.
Interesting. I think the trick will likely work as before, but i suspect the game's last colonist check doesn't account for a scenario where you order multiple pawns to cryo at the same time.
Eg: I think the game checks if a pawn is the last active one once you order them to cryo. However: if you have 3 active pawns and order them all to cryo at the same time, you will have 3 active pawns each time the "Last Pawn" check takes place. Hence no warning being displayed.
Nice one, I tried and you are totally right :)

It was pretty cool in that two of the 3 pawns were in a catatonic state from trying to rebuild a colony with 10-15 raider and guest corpses inside(the Ideo I created gives debuffs whenever you see a corpse lol). Guests had let in a pack of manhunter boars and that got real ugly. There was almost zero food. I rebuilt 2 power generators. and a solar flare hits. I didn't know if a starving pawn who goes catatonic, can die in that state and my medical room was a disaster so I tossed the royal pawn and the other catatonic in the cryptos. Blitz, my last survivor was heavily debuffed but he has the tortured artist trait and 150% desire to learn art (yet his art skill is zero :) so I figured move the art bench to the one room still lit up and pretty clean, the throne room. I was able to get him the +14 buff and he started playing the harp, his mood got better. He made his first small statue. As he was doing this, I got a quest to build another (my 3rd) monument, with a pawn as possible reward. I knew that was my chance to truly be able to rebuild the colony.
I really am seeing the depth of narrative Ideo is adding to the stories. Here is my last colonist not stashed in crypto tanks, barely surviving, surrounded by guests trying to convert him to their belief system. For other new players, I highly recommend the mod that displays all the pawns social interactions in text bubbles. It is really cool to see how often they try to convert pawns. You don't really notice unless you use the mod.
Its funny, looking at the debuffs, I could have done things in a different order to make him feel better. But I guess its the part of me creating the narrative that I find most compelling.
