Neither of those Twitter posts from 2018 and 2019 expresses Tynan's "dislike" for sales and neither of them says the game would never be on sale.

... and here we are, years later. Therefore, now there's a sale discount after most of the content has been delivered and not before. At no point has Tynan ever said there would never be a sale. In fact, quite the opposite. Whenever asked about it, he has always maintained that there will be a sale eventually ;)

Why anyone feels the need to opinion one way or the other doesn't make any sense to me as Rimworld has been going on sale for the past 2 years now.

If you had bought it during early-access you got it a bit cheaper and that has been the only promise about having no sales during that time.

Everyday jesus will it ever end? Do you people run to wallmarkt everyday running trough the shelfes and asking people if the Coffee will ever go on sale even the price (in this example) is already under its worth? Tynan, as now seen in his new comment post sticked on the front page, never stated that he will never go on sale with it. But comon, tis (right now, 7...(!!!!!!!7!!!!!!!!!!!) people programming it, before it were 3, and they put out such a gem. You ever saw a big title with 100 + Developers for 60 splash cash and 100 for preordering golden weapon skins with so much replayability without multiplayer?

Be thankful he still loves the game as much as we do people. With or without mods doesnt matter. If tynan never programmen Rimworld you never had RImatomics, Duby bad Hygnie etc mods. Those mods (and so much mods) only exist cause this game is awesome.

Would so much people invest theire freetime to give us mods for free with such a passion if the game was trash? I dont think so.
