[FIXED] Mods not appearing after reinstalling the game
I've just reinstalled Rimworld and none of my Workshop mods are showing. I'm still subscribed to all of them, but they won't appear and neither will new ones I subscribe to?

for some weird reason, it takes time for the game to recognize mods. keep the game running for awhile.

I've had it running for about 20 mins and still nothing, how long do you think it should take?

Try unsubscribing and resubscribing to a mod. Probably best to do it with the game closed, because sometimes steam doesn't like doing downloads with the game running.

This doesn't work either :/ I'm really stuck on what to do

The longer solution to try is to delete ...\Steam\steamapps\workshop\appworkshop_294100.acf and then restart steam

This hasn't worked either

You're running steam in online mode and running the game through steam? You have folders in ...\steamapps\workshop\content\294100?

Yep, online, running Rimworld through Steam and have steamapps/workshop/content/294100

when you restated steam, did you just hit the X at the top right, or did you fully shut it down and start it back up?

^ This. Fully exit steam, make sure it's not minimized to your system tray. Check task manager to make sure it's not running in the background.
same here nothings working

- Fully exit Steam, make sure it's not running in the background
- Delete appworkshop_294100.acf at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop
- Restart Steam
- Verify game files
- Wait for Steam to finish doing its thing
- Start game

If that doesn't work. Try deleting all mod folders (C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\workshop\content\294100), then delete the ACF file again, then restart Steam. Wait for it to download all mods again, then start the game and check if they're there.

If that still doesn't work. Delete all config files at %appdata%\..\LocalLow\Ludeon Studios\RimWorld by Ludeon Studios\Config

If that also doesn't work, reinstall the game. Make sure all related folders are fully gone.

If you're running the Steam beta, switch to regular ol' Steam. Make sure you're not running Steam in offline mode.

If that still doesn't work. Reinstall Steam.

If even that doesn't work. Then I can't think of anything else. :steamsad:

^ I feel like all of this is overkill but it's here in case someone needs it.

i can't remember exactly, but it was rather a long while, maybe 1-2 hours? i remember leaving it running while i went away to do some stuff. when i came back later, all the mods were visible.

I've now got it working after deleting the configs and restarting steam through task manager! Thank you so much for the help everyone, I'm very excited to be back in Rimworld :)
