Multiple researchers?

If I make 10 research benches, and assign 10 colonists to "researching", will the research be completed very quickly due to there being 10 researchers? Or will the speed of the research not increase?

It will increase. Each researcher contributes separately to total research.

Yes and no. It depends on the colonists' intellect skill.
