RimWorld

RimWorld

Should I bother buying this game?
It costs 49 eur with DLC. I read many review and many of them state that game has almost nothing of late game. Bad UI, AI, optimization, logistics, story. On top that its not even a game, but a "story generator" what always must end with u dead or leaving planet. I already played it on copy but I got bored of it. When u think it will get any better in these aspects?

If you don't like it now, you should never buy it.

98 percent of people disagree with you. It's okay. Do what you want. It isn't for everyone.

You know people who say game is trash but still played it for thousands of hours?

I would say on the whole its not a bad game. its like prison arch, it is what you make it.... i play it to pass time waiting for the next good game so yeah...... allot lol... its like minecraft in its essence. You make it what it is... if you want to take over every point on the world globe it could take months if all you want to do is leave the plannet and complete the game well.... it wont take long... its up to you that they joy of it.

First things first, halve the price you just stated, the DLC is absolutely not required (especially the name in game and other legacy Kickstarter ones).

But if you've played a good few hours and didn't like it, it's probably not for you. I bought the game in 2016 when it had substantially less content and was hooked to the point of playing for 30 hours over 3 days. But it's certainly not for everyone.

You could always wait for a sale.:steammocking:

You could always buy it and I think you get 2 hours to play with it and refund. While 2 hours isn't a lot for this kind of game its something. Also watch youtube videos they should help you decide.

No, its core gameplay is not going to significantly change. Even with the dlc, the core game has remained the same since launch, and arguably since before 1.0 launched.

If you do not enjoy the game don't buy it and don't play it. It's as simple as that.

I'm just curious. SInce you have played if for hundreds of hours you would have a very good idea of what the game is all about. Do you feel the asking price of $34.99 is too high? What do you feel is a fair price for it?
I myself am new to the game having bought it about a month ago. I paid full price and have about 200 hours in so far. I feel it was worth 35 bucks. But, again only trying to make conversation and curious if you think it's only worth 25 or something?

Just to clarify, did you just admit to piracy openly like that?

Mostly wondering what kinda reviews you´ve been getting, just looked and the game is at 97% positive reviews on Steam and is generally beloved in and outside the platform, have you been actively looking for negative reviews because you didn´t like it?

Still, it´s a rather unusual game, and if it isn´t your thing it´ll most likely change in a way that makes it your thing.

Really depends on your style of what type of games you like, Most people enjoy the game and with mods it can be even better theres alot of mods that add plenty of lategame/world content that the vanilla DOES lack, you don't have to try and escape, i don't really play rimworld anymore to try and escape as fast as possible its fun just going around the world and raiding bases and with the rimcity mod it adds HUGE bases that you can raid but extremely hard. Vanilla can get boring after a couple of playthroughs but the game isn't really meant to be played super competetively more of just a relaxing single player game to play

If you played it for hundreds of hours buy it to support the dev... christ almighty. Why are you even questioning any of this if you have played it for "100's of hours", you have more experience then most of us.

TROLL :steamfacepalm:

A lot of people pirate games. I do too. Who cares ?

OP, if you've played it for hundreds of hours already, you should know the answer by now. If you don't like it but you can't put it away, a feeling I know all too well with some games, just save yourself a severe case of buyer's remorse and get it on a deep sale. Or keep pirating it, can't stop you from doing that.
