How do you see what materials have been found by ground penetrating scanner
My ground penetrating scanner has found a few things and I can see that patches light up green when clicking on it, but I can't work out how to see what those green patches actually are.

I'm assuming this must be possible? Does anybody know how?

Easiest way is to place a deep drill on the zone. It doesn't need to be powered to be able to see what the resource beneath it is.

You can also, whenever the scanner finds a new patch, mark it with a stockpile zone, disallow any items from being stored there, and rename it to whatever you want. Slightly clunky, but it's one way to keep track.

Which requires the DLC to work.

Thank you, that's exactly what I needed. Can't believe this isn't included in the base game.

I haven't got the DLC, but it works perfectly.

If you open your log - history and select the a message for a find it can take you to it again.
If you have a deep drill in storage you can select it to reinstall it and I think that will light things up again.
