Upping carrying capacity for my people
Hey all. Does anyone know if there are any mods, or items what can increase the carrying capacity of my colonists? I was hoping that it would be an exo skeleton, but that only seems to increase movement, Anyone have an idea? Thanks in advance.

Carrying capacity for what? Hauling items in your colony or hauling items for caravans?

For the former, mods that add better bionics than vanilla will be your solution. Archotech Expanded is OP because those bionics have incredibly powerful bonuses. You might also want to use Pick Up And Haul mod, as that means your colonists will haul items up to their caravan carrying capacity.

For the latter, I found "Level Up" useful. The strength stat in that mod increases in-colony carrying capacity as well as how much you can hold in caravans, among other bonuses.

For caravans. My people can't carry much, and with the game im playing, pack animals are not a possibility.

How come?

But in answer to your question, the "Level Up" mod might be what you're looking for. In my last game, I focus leveled one of my colonists to level 2000 and invested 1.5k stat points into strength. He punches harder than any vanilla melee weapon and has the carrying capacity of 2 muffalo.

Thanks, I'll take a look at this. As to the pack animal issue, I'm trying extreme desert, and there is barely enough arable land to keep my people alive, let alone enough to spare for little used pack animals.. ;)

Makes manipulation effect caravan capacity like it does normal hauling capacity. So bionic arms and such will improve caravan capacity.

This one has a couple of implants that can help with what you're after; if you don't mind your colonists turning into mad-scientist experiments with their animal body-parts.

Edit: Tip - pick a biome with bears.

An alternative for this mod is Alpha Animals; It introduces the Gigantelope that can easily carry 500kg due to its bonestructure.
And yet another alternative is Apparello 2: it has various clothing types that slightly increase a colonists max carry capacity

Get some hydroponics dude. You'll be supporting a dozen dromedaries before you know it.

An alternative might be the SRTS mod which adds transports that will satisfy all your transportation needs.

Are Boomalopes an option, for Chemfuel?
