Help! Bug suddenly down and in extreme pain. Not a wimp.
I need help, there's a weird bug that causes my 3rd colonist (always 3rd) to "suddenly needs rescuing" and "he's in extreme pain". After rescuing him, I noticed he is not healing even using dev mode. He's like in a permanent disability stuck in a bed with a health of:

Pain - Extreme
Consciousness - 60%
Moving - 60%
Manipulation - 60%
Talking - 60%
Eating - 60%

Head - Scratch scar (itchy)
Left Arm - (Old gunshot)
Right Arm - (Scar)

Needs:
Mind-shattering pain -20 (AAAAAAHHH!)



He ain't also a wimp and these are his stats:

Childhood: Pet Keeper
Adulthood: Wildlife ranger
Incapable of : Social, Artistic
Traits: Brawler, Ascetic, Tough

Shooting: 15
Melee: 13
Cons: 13
Cooking: 5
Plants: 6
Animals: 16
Medical: 5


I killed him using dev mode and resurrected but it's still the same. Although there are times when I reload the file, everything looks normal.

Btw. I'm using mods and I'm not sure on which one of these mods are causing the problem. Anyone using these mods experienced this kind of situation?? BTW These mods are updated to 1.1

Does he have permanent injuries?
Could be he is born with 40% pain.

Other than that, sure it could be a mod, cause its not happening to me...I have differrent mods also just because they are updated to 1.1 doesnt mean that they are working properly.
I keep getting errors tossed up now and then.

Would be more helpful if we could see his/her health tab and character tab.
You say it's "always the third colonist." Is this an issue that recurs across multiple colonies? How many? Have you tried turning on Dev Mode and toggling the option to view all Hedefs?

scratch scar, old gunshot left arm, scar aching.

I just restarted the game and after loading, I checked him and suddenly he has a mind-shattering pain -20 and like I mentioned, he has the 60% condition.

It could be a mod but I just started this game few days ago. I don't know anything much about programming or check up on which mod has the problem. All I know is they're the top subscribed mods. I just pick the safest and not too complicated mods, I guess I picked the wrong one.

After restarting the game and loading, he has a sudden Pain - Extreme and just like I listed from the top, 60% condition.

I checked the hedif, it's the same. Scratch Scar (head), Old gunshot(Arm) Scar (aching) (Arm). Although there's a Leader Aura from a mod but most of my colonist has that aura.

Oh and also I just only have 11 colonist.

i got one colonist permanently down by having a joywire (reduces consciosness) and beeing on wthdrawel from wake-up. he was bedridden untill the addiction was finaly gone

I reloaded the game again and checked, now he's fine.
The problem is he only has these health condition, but these conditions he got it from battles.

Head - Scratch scar (itchy)
Left Arm - (Old gunshot)
Right Arm - (Scar)

itchy is what? 2% pain, old gunshot... 3-5 i think, the scar is another 55?
but well, he is no wimp, so this low amount of pain should not down him... strange.
bloodloss you didn't pay attention? did you force him to work without food?
did you, at some point, restricted him to an area, forgot about it and payed the price? (not speaking out of own expirience, no, trully, i didn't force one of my pawns into an area limited to his house and his workshop, no, did not!............)

There's no bloodloss, he focused on construction, haul. He has 6 recreational and 7 work, 3 anything, and 8 hrs of sleep. He has no restrictions.

i just had the same happen to me. somehow the itchy scar on my colonists arm (that he was generated with) went from 2% pain to 100%. it seemed really random, as his needs were fine, and he was just walking towards a mining spot, when he suddenly collapsed without warning. he's no wimp either, the opposite actually, he's tough and iron-willed.

luckily, i recently received a bionic arm from a trading quest, so i could save his sanity without drugs.

after some research, it seems this bug has been around for a while. i thought first it might be some mod issue, but it affected people using completly different mods than me, and i'm not even using any mod that touches the medical system

I found the bug, I used EDB prepare mod and edited my character before playing. I added some hediffs like an old gunshot wound from his arm. After tinkering, I discovered the bug is the forced hediff I added during the preparation and now he's fine.

Check it out if you're still having the same bug. Try removing the old wounds or bionic replacements using dev. Instead of adding them during preparation, just work hard for it lol.

I had the same bug were an old wound would (1 damage so it displayde as itchy) down the colonist in pain.
My best guest is that the low value used for the pain conflic with the chage made in the update and somehow try to substrac the 1 witch I gues is an integer and goes in the negatives that dont"t aply for this number so in the end it goes to max value for pain.
ps. sorry if I explaine badly.
