Wooden plate armor.

I tried looking at the wiki for information on how different materials impact the defense values of armor but couldnt find anything. There are tables showing how they impact weapons but nothing about armor.

So I am thinking about making a couple sets of wooden plate armor. Should I go for steel instead?

Well if the enemy has molotovs, you probably don't want to be wearing a suit of wood.

But yeah, steel will have better defensive value.

Yes, steel will be much better than wood. Think about how it would be in real life.

wood is only good if you need cheap armor , like if your low on steel, much like wicker armor its better than nothing. You can have an endless amount of wood in a forest , so you can build them and sell them if your trying to raise a crafting skill.

So there is no "known" data confirming wooden plate armor is inferior to steel in any way? This is kinda important because... each piece of plate armor costs 170 ingredients, thats a TON of steel for 5 tribes people... Cant think of a way to get that much without a dedicated miner.

T: Spawn apparel... OR T: Try place near thing... OR T: Try place direct thing...
Select plate armor
Spam until you get wooden and steel plate armor
Compare
