mod errors
so it seems with 1.0(at least with mine) when i load up rimworld nd the prompt comes up but it doesnt show where the errors are coming from just that i got 25 haha my game is heavily modded but i cant find(dont know where to look) where the errors r coming from nd to see if i can fix it.

i was also wondering if there is a mod out there or could any1 make a mod that detects nd shows which mods are conflicting with each other or at least show which ones are throwing up errors

just search for the red market text and read it

Many times you can't tell EXACTLY which mod it is, you kinda have to narrow it down. Like take hints from what it says. Like I was using a mod called "GouRIMet" and it was throwing errors despite being updated. NONE of the red text told me that it was the culprit, BUT one line mentioned :caramel", GouRIMet" is the only mod in my list that had caramel anywhere in it. I deactivated it and now everything works.

Sometimes you just have to think a little bit based on clues and it won't be easy. Modding isn't something for beginners or folks with no patience.

If you want an easy fix, find a youtuber with a mod setup you like and download their mod list. Most of them put a link in their video page. AS long as you set yours up exactly like theirs your game will run ffine.

If there is a mod issue it will throw errors right before the start screen. If it's not then it's most likley not mods. I mean other than crashing how do you know it's the mods? How do you know it's throwing errors if theirs no error messages which are in red and yellow?

idk i use 250 mods and 3 red errors in log. In that case the most helpful would be uploading your modlist

I'm with ou....I've got like 60+ mods, a bunch of errors and no idea how to go about figuring out where the conflicts are. Post back if you figure it out, huh? =D

I had 1 easy to fix problem when i updated to v1.0 . my fix was just removing 1 mod that had not been updated yet (its now updated).

Some things i read / saw in the forums recently.

I recenlty saw a rimworld Mod Manager mod, it probably wpnt be able to help in your current game though, but maybe.

Im another thread some players said that a mod called Rimhammer had serious problems breaking games and even save files.

I think i remember another thread talking about some mods that did NOT update properly from b19 to v1.0 , but sorry, i don't remeber the names of those mods. You'll have to look that up.

There is also the log reporting file (Output_log.txt) and in your case with so many mods and so many errors that may be swollen is size into the gigs instead of the intended kb's.

Past that, you'd have to go through each mod 1 at a time to find the culprit. ouch.

aw that might help some.
i went thru most of my mods that im using and only found one which was just reordering then i added some more now i have 26 errors lol but i went thru them for the dependacy mods nd to reorder tham but i didnt find any going at it like that
