How to upgrade from wood wall to stone wall?
I have the stone cutter's table and he already coverted a bunch of chunks to usable granite. I would like to replace a wood wall with a granite wall, but I don't know how to upgrade it. I tried to simply lay it on top, but that didn't work. I'm hesitating to remove the wood wall as I don't want the roof to collapse. How to upgrade exterior wood walls to stone?

No 'upgrade' possible.
Deconstruct the wooden wall and then replace it with a stone wall.
Don't worry about a roof collapse, just leave one section of wall in place until there are enough stone walls.

Ooh just like magic! No thanks, magic spoils the game for me, but to each their own ;)

Magic? What are you talkign about?
It acts exactly like vannila, except the deconstruct & constact steps happen at the same time.
Pawns deliver resources to the blueprint, then they build it as normal.
When done, you get the resources you would have gotten from deconstructing the item.

I have no problem deconstructing and then making a new wall. I'll try that later. However, I would obviously vote for an update feature in the game itself.. That seems like something they'll get in there eventually. I don't usually like using mods, but this is one I'd consider "replace stuff"...to take away busy work and such.

Heh ok ok, so not like magic... but boy, I could use something like that when I'm replacing a fence with a wall in real life ;)

It’s not magic but more QoL addressing. This mod is helpful when for example you need to add another AC to your freezer in a hot area. The time it takes to deconstruct, gather the materials and building it can cost you your meat/ meals compared to what the mod helps.

can mods be added in the middle of a playthrough?
