Question: Wood-Fired Generators
How do you keep them full of wood without telling colonists manually each time they run out to refill them? Mine are constantly turning off when they run out, and the lazy ass colonists won't refill them unless I tell them.

Iirc in vanilla refueling is under Haul job, so you have to assign a colonist to haul prior 1. Hauling job has many sub-jobs, refueling is top prior subjob, so your hauler will refueling it without your forcing.

Well something must be screwed up in my priorities. Will have to look closely at it. Because I have two peeps all they do is clean and haul. And they aren't doing that. Doing other hauling, but not refueling.

I use Work Tab:

Especially early game I rarely feel I can afford to have someone set to hauling constantly at priority 1, but with this you can set different hauling jobs to different priorities. I'll usually have ppl at 2 or 3 prio for hauling, but one or two pawns (usually the cook and maybe one more) will get a prio 1 on "refuel refuelables" (i.e. torches, wooden generators, fueled stove etc) just so that's always done and my pawns don't starve or freeze to death.

Hauling is an important job that is easy to under-prioritize. Things will constantly need to be moved around and fueling that wood generator falls under that category.

You mention that they are hauling other things but not fueling the generator and that suggests you just have a lot of things that need moving at the moment and they can't get time to fuel the generator. If you temporarily add more colonists to prioritize hauling then it can all get taken care of sooner. Once things get sorted out you can change those temp haulers back.

Use manual priorities number 1 through 4 and not just the checkbox priorities as that is important to fine tune your workload. You mention you have two colonists for hauling and cleaning so I would suggest assigning both with hauling and cleaning as higher than any other task.

Because hauling is to the left of cleaning on the prioritize list, assigning hauling and cleaning the same number will result in a colonist that will haul first and when there is nothing left to haul they will then start cleaning things. As soon as something needs hauling they will stop cleaning and go haul.

If you hover over the Hauling priority in the Priorities Tab, you'll see the order that they will do the various hauling sub-jobs. They will do those in that order. I'm pretty sure refueling comes before actual hauling jobs, so your haulers should be refueling before hauling.

Fluffy's Work Tab mod just breaks all of the sub-jobs out into categories that you can set separate priorities for, so you could set refuel refuelables (the sub-job you are talking about) to a high priority for everyone while keeping normal hauling jobs low priority for everyone except your actual haulers.
