it was getting longer after removing some of the mods I had used. As well those that had got deleted ( like More Vanila Turrets). But that cleared itself up after unsub all of the mods and then resub them again.

Also, there is a function to copy mod list in clipboard with mod names and links. Post mod list, that will make it easier to define which mods increase load times. As far as I can tell Humanoid Alien Races 2.0 is the most aggresive in that, removing it gave me 20-30 seconds decrease in load time (from minute and half to 40 seconds with over 100 mods).
Hmm... "Humanoid Alien Races 2.0" are a frame work for races so nothing demanding would be in it
24.8 seconds on startup without the mod.
25.4 seconds on startup with it in the load order.
The different is to small for me to to care enough.
::Edit::
The only real increase is when I put a mod that depended on it in the load order like "Elder things" that increases it to around 2 to 5 seconds more as Humanoid Alien Races 2.0 Override and changes the race mod.
Strange indeed which is why I mention it above... I would if I could explain why but i can not see why it takes longer for some and less for others.
Yeah nope I'm good. Vanilla is fine by me...
If you install a mod that adds one green chicken to the game, you will not notice any difference in load times. In fact, if you added 300 plain old items or animals to the game without having to custom define anything, you still wouldn't notice any difference. When mods have to cycle through lists of things that are already in the game and add definitions and new rules for a bunch of stuff, it can take some time, especially if the way this is all done isn't done very well.
If you add several or many mods that change the Core mod dramatically, it could add a lot of extra work to the start up process, and if those mods or your bad load order cause problems and errors, attempts to resolve those errors will add even more load time.
Blanket statements like Mods (always/never) (break/complicate/slow down) the game are always wrong, as are all blanket statements with the obvious exclusion of this one.
