Frail torso [SOLVED]
I have a colonist with a frail torso. He's only in his late 50's and he's my most skilled person. Any operations (vanilla or mods) that can fix this? Maybe a power suit?
Edit: Bear in mind this post was from 2016 and the game was still in early access back then. Things have changed and more mods are out there.

Bionic spine will do the trick. I think you need a mod to be able to craft bionic parts?

Yeah, I have that mod. Wasn't sure if the spine only fixed back problems. I guess I can try it and if it doesn't work just go back to a previous save. I'll try it tomorrow as it's late here and I have three wounded raiders I'm tending to. I'll post an update if I remember.

Bionic spine won't fix it, since Frail is a torso effect, not a spine effect. The bonuses cancel out, though, so it is an effective fix. Sadly you can't really replace a torso, as it's the core part to, well, everything.

I swear I saw a screenshot from somebody's game and a colonist had an exosuit on. Maybe that would help but I can't find the mod that adds that.

i dont know of anything that can. I have the same issue and i have alot of bionic parts.

Glittertech is the other mod to look at (it's just fun in general). Orion Corp exoskeletons can be harvested...I think they take the spine slot too, but they have huge bonuses.

I thought a bionic spine did the trick. I had a colonist with some kind of back/torso issue, so I installed a bionic spine and that helped them. I'm probably not remembering it right.
Anyway, I'm going to start a new game and do a different build.

It will fix 'Bad Back', which is a separate thing to 'Frail', with very simiar effects.

Resurrecting this thread. Frailty is still a thing in Rimworld, right? Yes!

Among other things, adds Exoskeleton Suit, as mentioned above.

In B18, frailty is a Torso effect, and subtracts -30% movement and manipulation.

The suit is also a Torso effect, and while it does not remove Frailty, it counters it with +25% movement and manipulation.

The difference can be resolved with other bionics elsewhere in the body.

Won't Glittertech Meds fix the torso issue? It will fix whatever the worst problem in the health window happens to be, right? And, it's in vanilla.

Good question. I'm no authority, but it's my understanding that Glitter Medicine increases the likelihood of success in surgery, giving pawns an improved chance at surviving when being treated by under-skilled medical staff.

does frail also add the weak trait?

yeah!!!!!

double necros make me so happy!!!!!
There is a mod that adds in an Orion installation exo suit. Not sure if that fixes chest issues though.

I think some Luciferium will remove Frail in a long period.

Yeah, "1 Scar/permanent injury removed every 900,000 to 1,800,000 ticks (15,000 - 30,000 seconds)"

Or Healer Mech Serum.
