Dev Mode: You use the Options menu and its a red cross at the bottom.

You can't change things as you want afaik. Even god mode does not allow i think but you would need to test as we have different mod sets no doubt. There are AI training modules available from traders in my games, probably a mod though, but there is a construction one I believe so that may help.

the only Mods i have are quality of life and that about it I Guess i could get the Mod that adds in trainers and Use Adman mode to spawn one in so i can fix my Builder :/

So if you could tell me that name of the mod it would save me a some time
Thanks

Under Pawn Tools, you can edit the character's traits and stats. The cog-like icons at the top, the leftmost one, Pawn Tools, it's one of the options there (edit stats or something), which allows you to set any stat to any amount you like.

trainers are vanilla, but those just ad skill not interest
it will get construction up but keeping it high enough will be hard
but you can just spawn some in and see how well that goes, at the far right: try place near thing
then find the construction learner

So I found it But want i want to Know is can i Change it so He has a High interest in construction or is it Just Set skill? Because i would reather make him level up in it faster than just giving him 20 skill :/

Oddly enough, no, you can't actually add passion to a pawn. No idea why, though, seems like something the dev console should have. The only way to speed up skill exp gain is to turn on the Fast Learning option (dev tools at the top, the second button from left, this screen lets you control all manner of world variables like fog of war, fast learning is in the first section on the left).

Be warned that when it says fast, it means FAST, like thousands of exp per second. So if you use it, let it run for a second or two, then disable again. Beyond that... nope, pretty sure there's no other way available to add passion, not even save editors as those only seem to have options to change the skill value, not add passion.

edit: also, that means fast exp for ALL pawns, so it'd be a good idea to either draft everyone first, or disable all tasks except for the one pawn you want to train quickly.

How can I remove traits? I can't see a tool like that.

For completeness in this thread, save editing can modify passions for work. Finding the pawns skills in the save file you will have something along these lines:

<skills> <li> <def>Shooting</def> <level>4</level> <xpSinceLastLevel>139.215</xpSinceLastLevel> <passion>Minor</passion> </li> ... </skills>

You can remove the passion tag to designate no passion, or it can have the values "Major" or "Minor" depending on what you want.

I just found this thread, though Google.

:steamhappy: That's the perfect answer, right there. I know how to save edit for all sorts of things, but I didn't know where to find that characteristic. Thanks man.

A way you could increase this partly is getting the mad skills mod, there is an option to change the "great memory" trait to make it increase learning speed by I think its 75%,use dev mode,go into the top right of the pawn/map/etc editing menu and type "trait" into the search bar then click the highlighted option and find great memory in that separate menu, then click on your constructor to give him the trait

This is a very old thread and there are now tools available to handle things like this effortlessly.
