Automation or Car Mechanic Simulator?
How does this game compare to CMS2015?

CMS is more of an assemble and take out parts game, whereas Automation is *currently* a more build an engine and a car game. Soon though, we'll have the tycoon aspect of the game coming out, which will include managing your own car company. It's really what you're into at the end of the day really ;)

In other words, it's like comparing an apple to an orange. ;)

To answer your question on a personal level, I grew bored of CMS2014 after a few hours, I've played Automation for hundreds of hours.

Lol, you played Automation for less than 30 hours. I grabbed CMS2015 for 12 bucks from a trusted site, Automation is just too expensive for the content atm. I'll grab it on a rainy day.

Check my YouTube channel. My first Automation video was uploaded over two years ago, at build 199.

Here's a blog post I made documenting my experience with the game:

He probably has, a lot of people had the standalone version of Automation for a few years before the Steam release.

Automation by far. Mechanic Sim Blows next to automation.

I think automation while it isnt as far as cms15 i got really bored with cms15 quick automation while I dont have many hours under the belt sense moving it to steam if I had to put them side to side cms15 is more of a click and play game not much to it as where automation while it doesnt have a lot to it requires you to think and know something about engine building.

If you like designing and building cars then automation is great. If you love dissasembling cars and putting them back toghether then cms is for you. It all depends on your likes and interests. Realy its even in the tittles of the games you know "car mechanic sim" and "automation the car company tycoon". But in my opinion automation has more going in it.

CMS is one of the most pointless, boring games of all time. I was a mechanic, both automotive, and, truck, and, heavy equipment, and, there's no element of reality to it.

It was designed to be simplified. I enjoyed it when playing it. Might get automation soon.

Leave alone that mechanic sim is everything but a simulation, the point here is that comparing CMS to Automation is like comparing Assetto Corsa with Crazy taxy.

This is more about the engineering side of engines than the know how of a vehicle technician.
Adjusting variables to achieve a desired result within constraints, vs memorizing and understanding parts on a vehicle.

I grabbed both lol. I enjoy playing both, though I have a lot more time in CMS than AM. I learn about all the car parts, where they go and how they effect the car. Where as in AM I just drag sliders and stuff like that to make a custom engine car/engine. Needs more content though, or workshop support or something lol.

CMS = Checkers
Automation = Chess

With that said, in a wierd/diffrent kind of way they both seem to compliment each other well in this type of games.
