Turbo Sounds/2-Step in BeamNG.Drive
So, I made a drag racing variant of one of my cars and it works really well. But, I was wondering if it would be possible to add the turbo sounds from one of the other cars in the game as well as 2-step. Does anyone know how to do this?
I have some experience with editing the files of cars from adding afterfires/backfires to exported cars before it was done automatically.

I guess while I'm asking, how would I increase the grip of the semi-slicks to make them more like full slicks?

Any help is appreciated, thank you!

In your car folder for beam, go to the very bottom of all the jbeam files and it will have the 'wheels_front/rear.jbeam' then go to the very bottom of those files and edit the frictionCoef and possibly the slidingFrictionCoef. I'm very new to editing the files, but I just did it and it made my grip way way better

Thank you so much! I will try this and see how it works. It sounds like it should be perfect!

It works very well! I went from a 9.5 to a 9.3!

I can't speak for the 2-step in particular, but I add turbo sounds all the time to my Beam cars. Use this guide as a reference: https://wiki.beamng.com/Turbocharger

Make sure to UNcomment the lines of code where needed, and ADD the lines of code where missing from the file. For example, HissLoopEvent is usually commented out... un-do this and add the correct code. HissVolumePerPSI does not exist in the code. Add it, and follow this procedure for the other variables and you'll be good to go.
