There is currently no mod support for the native MacOS build of Automation; which is one of the biggest reasons why we don't say that we officially support MacOS, even though it does work otherwise.
I didn't know that to be honest, I used to play on my built PC which stopped working so coming back 2 years later made me think I was the issue! Any idea on if mod support will be coming to MacOS?
It might be quite a while. The issue is because of how Unreal Engine works; when our modders make a mod, they take the completed mod and send it through a "cook", which basically converts the materials, 3D objects, etc. into a format that's readable by UE4 in Automation. Unfortunately, the MacOS and Windows cook processes are different to one another, and we've never had that function enabled in the cooking process for Automation mods at all...
The upshot of it is, existing mods would need to be re-cooked with a MacOS version in order to work, and the likelihood of that is anyone's guess, on a mod-by-mod basis.
