Assuming it was the case as of now, a full game price for new engine types was too high. For diesel, which is common here in Europe, or other common contents like single and twin engines, or two-stroke I'd pay 15-ish Euros. Something that really extends the game scope like Kei Cars with their own sales regulation rulesets also up to 20. Exotics like rotaries I'm not sure to buy at all, but for sure would not do so above 10 Euros.
The good thing about DLC is, no matter what it is and how much it costs, you always can stay with what you have and not buy them without loosing content. You just don't gain additional one but still can play the game.
We are not going to release (any more) DLC for Automation until the game hits full release. The V16 Supporter Pack was a necessity to satisfy a promise we made to our early crowdfunding backers. Not ideal, but it was the best way we could get them their perk and cause the least drama within the community.
I definitely don't expect any DLC before then. But the idea of possibly getting diesels and wankels is pretty exciting to me personally. Especially the diesels.
