Where is your factory located? What did you set the worker pay and worker quality to? It's possible you've engineering a car so complicated that it takes that long to find enough talent to assemble it.

Can you reproduce this if you start a new campaign and build a completely different type of car?

Hi my factory is located in Dallua and the engineering time start in 2756 and finnish in 2757, the retooling of my factories are starting in 2753 (they are huge in both plot and factory size and they are 60% automatized) and it happend in all the campaign after my first one (so 3 campaigns)

You answered my first question: Dalluha
You answered my third question: it's repeatable

You skipped my second question: What did you set your worker pay and worker quality to? I suspect that may be the issue, but if it isn't, then it should be reported.

edit: So I created a campaign in Dalluha, designed a complicated and expensive car, set it to be produced in a huge factory, and set worker wages to minimum and worker experience to maximum. Estimated completion year: 3164! https://drive.google.com/file/d/1Z0zuXyZhJYp4yHDC97zLu5xDmdqYauBh/view?usp=sharing

You need:
  • a smaller factory
  • a less complicated and expensive to produce car
  • higher factory wages
  • less worker experience

even if that is the case, its a ridiculous time frame. we could have fully autonomous flying cars that run on nuclear fission in that time and the cure for cancer.

Yes... that's true. But the point is the game mechanic is designed to present realistic opportunity costs when building a car. Trying to staff a huge factory in a tiny country, asking them to accept near poverty wages while at the same time having near PhD levels of engineering experience to assemble a car more complicated than a particle accelerator means very few if anyone is going to show up at your door looking for a job. And because a huge factory requires a minimum amount of staff to function, the net result is what you see above. I prefer this method of "soft limiting" bad choices in the game because it teaches you something... rather than a hard limit that says you can't do this without really understanding the "why" behind it.

I put the worker quality to the max and and worker pay to 102 or 104. I didn't know all of this should be taken into consideration? Thanks for explaining all of that to m little brain, have a nice day gentlemen

You get a number of months it will take to fully staff a factory.
It's displayed when you choose everything that will go into the new factory.
It depends on Country, size of factory, number of shifts,
quality of workers and worker wages.
