1.0L Turbo engine challenge
Can you make a car with 1.0L Turbo engine, that can do the airfield track faster than 0:01:13.00.
I have the one that does 0:01:13.00

i'm using a mid engined chassis looks like exige/4c like with body extra widened. i did not push too much power because if found it could slow it down a bit.
Thanks for that tip. Detuning the engine to ~350HP dropped the times into the 1:10 range. I'm getting there :)

What body/chassis are you guys using?

I've got a nice 436hp 20-valve 1001cc Turbo 4, but using the F355-ish looking body can't get much below 1:14 at the airfield. I'm guessing that weight is part of the issue.
your engine is 1cc too big
1.0Mid V12 Turbo, 1:12:-- So far :(

I've since destroked it, it's at 998cc and 350hp right now.

I'm still struggling a bit to break 1:10. I've tried adjusting power and torque both up and down and have made innumerable chassis/suspension/brake/aero tweaks, each of which has recursive effect.

I'm not looking for anyone to give up any secrets, but I do have another question. In terms of 'Sportiness' versus 'Drivability', do you find your successful builds leaning more toward one of those categories, or more of a balanced state?

Well, my best was 1:10:11 lol this is so frustrating. Trackwise, power probably don't mean much with the build. To problem is handling. Easy to make a car go to 270 from standstill in 18 secs. So i guess i am missing something on the handling compartment..
fastest ive gotten is a 1:26.94. with a very tuned up .5L inline 4. making 192 hp. and im using a pretty small and light body. im missing something here.
try to get it bigger to like 999cc, i think 330/340hp is the sweet spot for power. weight and balance is the key
I have managed a 1.08.35.

It's not about to get most power, but find the right amount of power. Light weight and try to fine tuning the springs and the other stuff that is on the same page as the springs
