High RPM
Maybe I'm missing something but at high RPM, no matter what parts I have or how high they're rated they always seem to fail. LIke i would assume a very high rpm rating would allow at least 10K RPM but it seems to fail around 8-9K

High RPM engine's are not easy to build. In addition to using high quality parts, you must make sure the bore/stroke ratio is condusive to higher RPM's. Also, you must tune the engine properly in order to take advantage of the higher RPM's.

Make sure all the parts you're using are for higher RPM (some high quality parts are for high torque) and generally speaking, the smaller the stroke of the engine, the easier it is to rev higher.

Worth noting in real life i would struugle to name more than a handful of cars with engines capable of revving pat 8K

While the Datsun 510 race car may have had an engine capable of revving over 10k RPM, it's not like you could have gone down to the dealership and bought one. Race engines are often rebuilt between every race, which is why you don't see high revving engines like that in most production cars.
