How to increase sportiness?
Currently I've maxed out all the car's features (brakes, suspension, gearbox etc.) to create the highest sportiness factor that i can. And it is still only a sportiness factor of 4.5

What other factors can i change to improve sportiness?

I've had this problem myself. Go to the detail stats screen and you'll see what's causing the score to be low. Often it's oversteer/understeer-that means you have to fiddle with the suspension and/or tires until you get it right.

Usually it's handling or wheelspin, and make sure you don't have a 70/40 weight distribution

It is very hard to make sporty vehicles in the early years due to poor tires & wheelspin.. You may actually need a less powerfull engine..

My most recent foray into sporty cars was a 1950 Longitudinal FWD roadster with a 1.2 I3 with 77hp. Had around 13 sportiness, and 50 drivability and scored very well in various budget sport type demographics..

70/40 weight distribution would be a hell of a feat.

I made a 3 cyl economy car with 66R pretty much the first thing i did in lite campain, and building a v8 with 71R/29F wasn't a very hard next step =)

70/40 weight distribution is impossible because you can't have more than 100% total weight distribution.

70/40 weight distribution would equal 110%.

I wouldn't worry about it, I was just making sure you knew ElRushbo was being a bit sarcastic. ;)

Imo 90% of the chassis are dead ends for sport cars as they are too heavy or essentially undriveable (most of the mid engined cars). Find one of the better ones, for example the Saab Sonnett and begin with a relatively small engine, then increase the brake options and find the best tyres as these are the most important ones.
