RWD Rally Issues
Me and some friends like to make challenges for each other in this game (FWD track car with leaf spring suspension all around for instance) and lately, we've been on a rally kick. For this round, I'm building a front-engine, rear-wheel drive rally car and can't seem to master the oversteer issue. I've built mid and rear engine RWD rally cars with no issue, but front-engine is killing me. The second I touch the throttle I'm spinning (150hp, 7000rpm redline, peak power at 6800rpm) I've done everything from taking out the rear sway bar, wider rear tires, wider track width out front, softening the springs, reducing front camber, quality spamming the tires, reducing horsepower (got as low as 110) and still can't figure it out.

I do not floor it, I spin out at 35% throttle. Any help is appreciated.

You have too much torque for you vehicle weight and tires. Mid-engine RWD cars always have an extra 200-300lbs on the rear tires, which means more grip during acceleration. front-engine cars don't have this.

To make a good RWD Rally car, you'll probably want to skip using a turbo and go N/A to avoid the torque spike at low speeds. You also should use Medium Compound tires. Off-Road tires get better grip on dirt, but Medium works better when you have mixed courses. Also, use slightly heavier materials to get a bit more weight in the back.

Another thing to check is your transmission gearing. If the car spins wheels on shifts, you need to adjust the ratios. Too short, and the car can spin at low speeds.

Also, wider rear tires doesn't always add more grip. If your car is too light, the weight gets spread over a larger area, giving less pressure to the ground, and producing less grip.Wide tires are mostly for getting better high speed stability.

While I am naturally aspirated and am using medium compound tires, the rest of that pretty much escaped me! Going to attempt this now and see if it works

That fixed the spinning out issue, now I just have difficulty getting over 40mph due to lack of power xD will keep tinkering

11 hours later, I finally got it running up to 70mph before completely losing control
