Is there a car designing mode?
Not interested in all the numbers, engines, and all the schematics within the car. I just wanna create the looks. Is there like a mode just for car modeling and designing alone?

A large portion of the community does just that. By large, I want to say over 60%.

Really? Might pick it up then.

you can just do that, like me. I dont know much about mechanic or engines, i just spent hours and hours designing a model ( exterior/interior). I mean, if you like cars i believe you know the basics of the engine, suspension, brakes, etc. Right?

There isn't a "visual design only" mode as such, however you can just make a car in sandbox mode and simply click a random option for all engine/suspension/drivetrain/etc. components, while only focusing on the visual parts.

Cars aren't required to actually be driveable or even have a functioning engine, so if you indeed only care about looks you can just click random stuff.

You can use the "AI" to create set up stuff if you don't want to deal with Engines, Tires, Drivetrain etc.
yeah nah, in "screenshots" tab those aren't from here. all the cars designed were clearly made in maya or blender 3d. Not in automation.

That's incorrect.

I mean, the answer is right and wrong. Depends on if you're a modder or not.

Haha you got the Double entendre! technically every fixture and mesh in screenshots tab was very likely made in a run of the mill 3d software then exported to be ported over to the workshop, then the user subscribes and puts those meshes in a certain alignment in automation and you have "user generated content" of varying degrees of quality. Though I'm not quality control expert! I love making terrible cars just as much as jim bob over there
