My guess is you did a facelift + changed engine on one model, with other models still using the old engine version.
EDIT: If you really don't want to facelift your other models, you can have a second engine factory making the old engine version. An cheap way to do this is to make a contractor sized engine factory, which finishes in seven months. Be warned that contractor engines are VERY expensive though compared to engines your own factories make.
I think it would be preferable to do facelifts on all car models using the engine, though perhaps that would be too expensive or you would lose a lot of deposits on pre-orders or something.
