How is it easier to do clear glass?

So i use patchwork for my taste but every time i try to use it it always ends up sloppy and you can see it overlapping and like tearing. I see youtubers always only do it one piece?? How is this even possible??

Go to body molding.
Then press on that grill from patchwork
Hover your mouse over them and wherever it says Cutaway choose that.
Then you can choose any Translucent texture
