Top speed stuck at 164
I've been building some low revving "Diesel" engines, (High compression, cast iron, turbos) I've been trying to get really long gearing to play with the crazy torque numbers in beamng, I'm just wondering why I can't set the top speed higher than 164MPH, the engine revs to 3500RPM max. Any help would be appreciated.

It would help to see what your engine stats look like. Low rev diesel engines generally produce a lot of torque, good for acceleration and towing, but not so good for high speed. High speed requires more horsepower and revs.

Depending on what kind of vehicle you're putting the engine in, and the engine stats, 164 MPH is probably a pretty good top speed for an engine that only revs to 3500 RPM.

I just threw one of my heavy duty 1946 V12s into a fully modern car and got the same thing.
But I see why this is. If you look at your ratios the final drive is a miniscule 2.30.

Where most cars sit between a steep 4.51 and and deep 3.07... Realistically though, as much as you'd want to reach some great speeds and maybe make a sick little sports car with what this game allows in terms of diesel, isn't 265 kph enough?

If you want more top speed, sadly you'll need more revs on the engine. and most decent diesels were hitting high 4's to low 5's by the 80's (except the American Super Duty truck motors)
My 1951 update of that motor adds just 100 rpm to the redline, but that improves top speed to 168 with the same final drive, and moving to the '56 model where forged internals give quite a boost in stats (and a drop in octane requirement over all cast pistons) my redline bumps to 4500 rpm. This gives a top speed, with the same 2.30:1 final drive ratio, of 211 mph.
