More fixture alignment tools?

I'm asking this because it would help to keep things straight, especially when working on the headlamps of my cars if we can have a vertical or horizontal alignment tool, to reference one item to another. This would be especially useful for older "box" like lamps.

Also, I remember something about grouping fixtures together as templates? Maybe? That would be a wonderful thing to have eventually. Duplicating badges is pretty difficult as is.

Lastly, I'm not sure if this is a bug, but is shifting the position of a fixture with the arrow keys supposed to invert the placement of the item? It does that currently (in my case flips items left/right) and it would be great if it didnt.

I think I briefly mentioned that in the recent Automation Q&A, we would like to implement something that helps you align text and maybe even fixtures. It is not easy though and thus not high on the list of priorities. :)

I recently figured out how to use a piece of lay-flat adjustable bumper set to the same alignment as the parts I'm trying to align (align, cardinal lock-on, or align to horizon) as a guide when I want things to line up, then delete it once I've got things lined up.

A tool for aligning text would be nice. That and some more fonts, like a few forms of cursive for fancier cars. And horns. Add horns.
