Possible to add trailer hitch?
Is there any way a trailer hitch that can be made functional when exported to BeamNG Drive could be added to Automation? I would love to be able to test my vehicles towing ability in BeamNG Drive.

That's great news! :) You guys are beyond awesome, I am absolutely loving the ability to make a car from scratch and then drive it around in BeamNG. I can't tell you how long I've wait to be able to do exactly that. Now I just gotta save up to buy a full driving wheel/pedals/shifter kit and my car driving video game dreams will be reality.

Any news on this?
There is the possibility to manually "link" the trailer to an Automation car, but what I'd like (and I do hope you agree) is the normal BeamNG functionality, where you can drive and hook up with the trailer automatically.

They added functional hitches quite some time ago. Just use the normal hitch attachment in Automation and it will function normally in BeamNG.

Just confirming that this does indeed exist and has for quite a while now. It works well in Beam.

I have tried by adding a hitch to several cars, and none of them link automatically to a trailer in BeamNG?

You need to press a key to activate the ability to attach a hitch to a trailer. I think it's L by default and then you bring the ball near the coupler, then physics wiggle happens and then they attach. I haven't done it in a while though so I may be mistaken.

Pressing L in the vicinity worked, I hadn't tried that, thanks!!!:steamhappy:

No problem. I know it's not super clear how to do it.

It's strange though, that the hitch is not really attached to the trailer though, sometimes it "hangs on an invisible thread"

Yeah, it can be a bit...odd sometimes.
