any kind of manual or guide?

I don't know the first thing about what each type of car should have incorporated into it, I have engine design down pretty well but I don't know what kind to put into my cars. Same goes for the car body itself, and the suspension and brakes. Anybody know if there are any resources to help enlighten me on the subject?

I don't know of a any good guide on the matter, it is a big topic with lots of aspects to cover. What you could do is to try things out in sandbox, building one model with two different engines and see how that changes the car and its appeal.
