Selling of old inventory

When I sell off my leftover cars in Campaign mode, how much of the original production cost do I get back?
Trying to figure out if it's better to sell out the remaning bit for a few more years at below cost value, or simply scrap it and pocket the remainder. Is it like 25% of what you originally paid to produce it, or something like that?

I mean if scrap value is lets say 25%, but I could sell the remaining stock in it's entirety at -40% markup (60% original production value) then I'm up that 15% instead of pissing it away, you know? I couldn't find a tool tip or discussion about it anywhere...

If I remember rightly it is sold at -50% markup, i.e. the lowest setting you could have when manually setting it. So when it becomes impossible to sell this stuff then you get at least something back, it is better to sell stock even at a loss before scrapping the rest.
