Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game

Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game

Motorcycles?
I know its a car game and quite open for design. Just wondered if you had thought of adding 2, and 3 wheels to the mix? Motocycles anymore are just insane, little 1 litter motors putting out over 200hp. Also in the 4 wheel arena there are quite a few open cockpit cars now like the ariel atom that would be fun to design. Seems exciting to me.

Good DLC idea.
Okay I read the FAQ. About the only thing there that seems somewhat to apply is the 12k rev limit. Ariel is a real car company that focuses on track but also makes them road worthy machines. Just thought I would suggest the idea. You guys do a lot for a three person development team (sort of inpressed).

Ohh damn, I was certain Motorcycles were mentioned there, but indeed they are not. Really need to add that to the FAQ next time I update :) sorry about that! But yes, adding motocycles would be roughly 18 months of work to get right (and ~$500000), definitely not something we can afford money- or time-wise.

Puting bike engines to the game would take $500000 and 18 months? Man, you and your team doing something very wrong :D
^ LOL!!! To be fair to them motorcycle engines are crazy. You have everything from a single cylnder to a 6. Not only that they come in every sort of configuration, L twin, inline twin, horizontal twin, v4, inline 4, and not sure about the different 6 cylinder bikes. Then you have rev ranges from probably like 5k up to 18k. Still it would be awesome!

Entirely new "car" designer, updated engine designer, new calculations and sounds (expensive), new demographics, stats, etc. etc., plus 5 people working full time = 1.5 * 5 * $50000, plus office costs, plus licenses and 18 months is optimistic on top of that. So yeah mate, you got a warped understanding of game development, rather than us doing it wrong. ;)
