Absolutely no sales in recently unlocked Fruinia

I just recently started a play through of a utility car manufacturer in Archana. The game date got to 1960 and Fruinia unlocked, but absolutely zero of my cars are selling there. I checked and my car's safety scores are a decent bit above the minimum for Fruinia. Leaded gas is not yet illegal. Does anyone have any idea what is going on?

I think I figured it out. I'm leaving this here for anyone that has this question in the future. I could be wrong, but it seems you have to make a new facelift for your car to sell in a newly unlocked region. Already existing or currently engineering facelifts simply don't cut it. Anyone who wants to leave a comment confirming or denying this is more than welcome to do so.
