Superchargers will likely be implemented down the line, not sure about diesels.

"It will add massive amounts of development time to add diesel engines, nevermind the lower complexity of diesel, we don't have time as a game studio for that. Single modders can handle it fine though."

No wonder you guys still haven't made a complete game yet haha

you can't mod a diesel into the game lol

I would love to see diesel engines. I think the option to change the firing order of an engine of an engine would be easier/more feasible to do, though I have no knowledge of how this sort of stuff works from a developmental aspect.

no it's hard af

Changing firing order is also not something you'd want to do. There are only one or a few firing orders for each engine configuration that are optimal, anything differing from that will be worse. In the game we have picked the optimal or one of the optimal ones, so there is nothing here to gain, only lose. Also it increases complexity unnecessarily (because it doesn't add anything when it comes to decision making, but adds complexity to the game).

Understandable. Like I said, I have no idea how any of that would work as far as implementing it into the game

Depends on if the developer works in the code hooks and a features in the dev-kit needed to something like that.

Some of the stuff they've done with games like Skyrim are mindblowing and let's not get into what's been done with Falcon 4.0 (though, admittedly, the modders had access to the source code for that one).
