Crash On Launch With Intel HD Graphic

Since the recent big update (March 2019), there are a lot of people who don't get the game to launch and think it is because the game is broken. In most of those cases it turns out to be an issue with having very outdated Intel Graphics drivers which are incompatible to the game engine Automation uses, UE4.21.

Unfortunately there is nothing we can do to fix that (we can't install new drivers for you). You need to manually download and install the latest drivers from here:

https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27988/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-10

That should solve the startup issue.

Have Both a Dedicated Card and Intel Graphics?

We've had situations where having outdated drivers for the Intel graphics chip made it such that the game couldn't pick the correct graphics card to run the game and would crash on launch despite there being a dedicated graphics card with up to date drivers. Make sure to get the latest Intel HD Graphics drivers in that case too, this has solved the issue for the players who had that issue.

So is your system supposed to be compatible or not?
To answer that check which Intel Graphics chip you have and what operating system you are running versus the stated requirements.

So, im quite confused, my intel card does meet the minimum specs asked from the game itself, but when i boot up the game, it says its not compatible. oh, and in case you need clarification, im running an IntelHD 4400, compared to the minimum required IntelHD 3000

So did you update your drivers? It is supposed to crash and not run on pre 2018 drivers, the game engine is just not compatible to those.

when i go to update any sort of drivers, it doesnt give me any option, but upon further investigation, (aka, me playing the game), it runs perfectly fine until you try and exit a mode of the game, i.e. Sandbox, and to answer the drivers question, my drivers are from like, january 2017, thank you for the insight though Killrob, much appreciated

When you get to the game launcher, hit the Game Log button. Send the AutomationGame.log file to [e-mail] and we'll have a look!

My motherboard does not have integrated graphics and I run solely on a dedicated AMD card. My game has the same problem. I've disabled antivirus, looked at file permissions. Reinstalled the game. And verified files. Still no luck. I really hope I can fix this, this is one of my favourite games.

How do you know it is the same crash?
What graphics card are you running?

Seen that error before, probably one of the redistributables didn't install properly. Should be an easy fix you need to do. Send an email to [e-mail] and we'll help you out.
