Automation - The Car Company Tycoon Game

Automation uninstalled itself?
Hey, Supreme here. I just wanted to say that the game randomly uninstalled and reinstalled itself. I didn't know if this is a common thing or not but I felt it should be reported anyway.

Update: The reinstalled version undid some updates and deleted my current designs and brought up some older deleted one.

The game doesn't uninstall itself, ever. Steam may do that or you may have done it accidentially.
What happened with your cars most likely is that you are not opted into the branch of the game you expected, thus seeing old cars. If you opt back into the openbeta branch you should get back your recent cars. :)

Thank you for your response. It was very strange thing. TF2 had crashed and whenever it does it kills the audio on my computer. So after playing the unreal version of the game without sound, I closed out and restarted my entire system. After the restart the game began installing again, and was finished shortly. I went back to the unreal and it was a update or too behind, several missing things and the older interface.

Yes, that would be the natural consequence of the game defaulting back to the default branch of the game. You were opted into the openbeta branch before, so that old look like it being a few versions behind seeing the default branch.

Same thing happened to me yesterday, although I lost my open beta version, I guess.
The reinstalled version is that old one with older seats arrangement configuration and the -10 agility issue on every model. Also, some mods went missing in the process. What I can do to go back to that version?

Just opt into the openbeta branch again. Steam Library - Automation - Properties - Betas - openbeta
