engine not fitting when it should be
I am still having the problem with the '02 (92.5in) Supercar coupe Not fitting more than a 0.8L V6 (60 or 90 degree). Some help on fixing this problem would be greatly appriciated. Developers, I hope you won't brush this off as nonsense like last time, and actually ask some questions about it.

I can fit:

3.2L I3
4.2L I4
3.7L I6

1.8L V6 (60 deg)
2.4L V8 (60 deg)
3.6L V12 (60 deg)

1.3L V6 (90 deg)
1.7L V8 (90 deg)
2.1L V10 (90 deg)
3.4L V16 (90 deg)

Why such veiled threats mate? I did take you seriously last time too, but I told you the same thing: I don't see the problem. Use MacPherson rear to get more room, use transverse engine layout. Then put a nice I6 in there and be happy, it's an awkward engine bay for sure, but that doesn't change the fact that you have some good choices here.

thank you for the reply this was helpful information, but why only transverse? visually the longitudinal layout should fit a 2.0L V6 easily.

Yes, you are correct in that, but that would no longer make it a mid-engine setup. The game has very strict rules for what is mid or rear engine. If you truly want a mid engine car then that is all the engine bay you have, one dimension (the longitudinal one) is VERY short for that car body. Hence you want to play your cards right and use the slimmest engine possible in transverse orientation. If the game had a fluid placement of the engine to allow for mid/rear placements, then that would be a different story. Very difficult to implement though! Cheers.

One more thing, I made a car (with the supercar coupe body) londitudinal and then cloned it so I could visualy compare different fixture layouts.
Now it is locked and I can't change it to transverse, is it possible to unlock it?
Can I edit a file to unlock it?
I've spent several (cumulative ) days trying to get every thing just right, this is the 4th time I've had to recreate this car and I really don't want to redo it again.

I don't think you can unlock it, but best do the following: export the car, then delete a trim so that there is only a single trim for the model, that probably unlocks the chassis selections.
