1) Gold Cup sucks in stealth because it's missing several trucks that spawn only in loud. Do the mission in loud.
2) Can't elaborate specifically because it's an exploit, I know what happened and no it wasn't intended.
First one fixed in U10, second one fixed sooner.
I did have the damn Apache come out of nowhere even tho i kept stealth the entire time and attempt to destroy the truck tunnel. Figured i simply got unlucky and triggered something somewhere and didn't see it, so had to ditch about a third of the loot and escape.
It would make sense that the cash truck thing was a strange oneoff. The loot was the usual mix of gold/platinum bars and cash and yet it paid off 20 times.
Already answered in first post.

I gave it to my bots when i noticed they were somehow able to throw them into "a truck" even tho nothing was there. I'm really not sure if it counted at all, but i wasn't able to do that very long since the apache came around right at this time, so had to bail since i wasn't well equiped for going loud. Everything else simply got left behind.
Either way, limiting the amount of trucks in stealth is just stupid. Punishing the player for being able to pull off stealth and complete it that way is A S S.
Should be only two buttons in the control room, one for the alarm timer and one for the electric (there's one for the gun cage, but those don't matter). Found on the white boards in the offices, one marked 'A' and one marked 'B'. Then you have to pick the correct circuit breakers for the cages. After that if you subdued all the guards, it should be smooth sailing.
Edit - the extra bags just get piled up in that room, next to the railing. And when you click to escape a gold/yellow square shows up around that escape area. And all the extra bags should get counted.
If it's going as planned, dragon should actually compliment you a couple of times.
I have no idea still why the Apache came around. There was no alarm, no deaths, no shots fired.
Honestly i can only assume it's a bug at this point.
That bit about length is even counterintuitive. For some people it made it faster, for veteran players it made it slower:
U8 campaign record: 2 days
U9 campaign record (extreme): 3 days
It's not explained in a great way on that article I must admit.
Campaigns are meant to be completed within a few weeks at most, or eventually the good ol' Norris gets onto you. Entourage perks can really help with slowing investigation down a fair bit, still.
Payouts are not insane, as I already mentioned the OP encountered and accidentally reproduced an exploit on that cash truck mission which I'm not going to comment (even less explain) about due to the fact it's an exploit that will be fixed shortly.
