There haven't been any apparent updates in the two years since the DLC and yet a bug I reported 16 months ago is still listed a a known issue... a small, but game breaking bug.

So I finally finish designing my first ship and everything looks fine. But when I attempt the simulation- I move techs around to the rooms and they seem to stand there, more and more modules indicate that maintenance is overdue, and the ship gradually implodes. I've attempted the auto-resolve, which is set to easy, multiple times with identical results- a result indicative of absence of any random variables. Might as well place a auto pass/fail indicator on the interface if nothing changes per roll. But...

So I was wondering why mining ships are so big. In my tests with reasonable sized fuselages I got roughly -24 income. Great. Now I've picked the biggest ship and packed it with ridiculous amounts of lasers and stuff and got income. You can experiment with more reasonable builds - if you have found a good balance, please post it here!
