How do you save??

Hey guys. I feel really dumb asking this, but I can NOT figure out how to save. There doesn't seem to be any options in the start menu, and the yellow circle at the top right doesn't seem to be autosaving... I trusted it and when I loaded up I had to go through 30 minutes of cutscenes and gameplay to get to where I had been.

Explain like I'm cripplingly retarded, please.

Nevermind -_- Apparently it's the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ 0 key. Way to port, square.

I don't see how it's square's fault that you couldn't figure out the control scheme, especially when it shows you in the main menu settings.

Ah you're right. It's wise to never display that in a tutorial, then bury the information in a help screen 3 menus deep making it extremely easy to find when I'm trying to figure out how the hell to save before I have to leave for work.

You can save anywhere in the game though.

Easiest way to save......go to historia crux, auto save ^^

I can save anywhere. I'm using X360 controller though.

Define "normal"? This is the first game where you can save anywhere and it actually loads the save back as you saved it, no matter where you are standing.

but on ps3 you need to go to save points too save not here

Yes, that is the console method. On PC you can usually save anywhere, not just save points. Just because consoles tend to have a limitation, it doesn't mean that they need to restrict all platforms, and despite my many gripes with this game, I am thankful for this very handy save system.

yeah, it's the best save system for these kinds of games.

i remember that in XIII I was sometimes forced to get from save point to save point, many times i just wanted to save but no, buck you, save point is on highest floor, get in there.

i really would love if SE put that in XIII port as well but well, we all know how XIII launch troublesome was :/
